At around 7:00am on Sunday morning, Iran launched at least 35 projectiles at the Jewish state.

Iran launched a large-scale missile attack on Israel early Sunday morning, firing at least 35 projectiles in what officials say is the most significant direct attack from Tehran since the escalation began, I24 News reported. According to Israeli authorities, the missiles were launched in two waves—one just after 7:00 a.m. and a second shortly after in the north, I24 News added.
The bomb sirens sounded in Haifa, Acre, Daliyat Al Karmel, the Jordan River, Safed, Tiberius, Afula, Megiddo, Nahariya, Peki’in, Rosh HaNikra, Nazareth, Karmiel, Majdal Shams, Kiryat Bialik, Ashdod, Kfar Kassem, Modiin, Airport City, Herzliya, Hod HaSharon, Kfar Chabad, Ness Ziona, Petach Tikva, Ra’anana, Ramat Gan, Ramla, Rishon LeTzion, Tel Aviv, Jaffa, Abu Ghosh, Beit Shemesh, Jerusalem, Ashkelon, Netanya, Beit Yehoshua and a variety of other places across Central and Northern Israel.
While most of the missiles were intercepted by Israel’s defense systems, 3 impact sites were confirmed in Tel Aviv, Nes Ziona and Haifa, I24 News reported. According to the report, the Israeli Health Ministry reported that 86 people were treated in hospitals following the Iranian missile strikes. Two of them are in moderate condition, 77 are lightly injured, four others are suffering from anxiety attacks, and three patients are still undergoing medical evaluation.
Ichilov Medical Center in Tel Aviv said there were two children among the five people who arrived at its emergency room with minor injuries, the Times of Israel reported. According to the report, the injuries were largely at the two impact sites in Tel Aviv and its Ness Ziona suburb, according to medical officials. One man was moderately hurt by shrapnel on the Route 431 highway, near Be’er Yaakov in central Israel, the Times of Israel noted. It was also reported that an old age home was damaged during this Iranian missile attack.
MDA EMT Moti Nissan told Arutz Sheva: “This is a large-scale scene of destruction. Several two-story residential buildings were severely damaged, and some have collapsed. We arrived at the scene with significant forces, including mobile intensive care units, ambulances, and EMTs on medi-cycles. We immediately began searches together with the fire department and Home Front Command. We set up a casualty collection point in a safe area, where we are currently treating several mildly injured individuals, some of whom have already been evacuated to the hospital by MDA ambulances. We are fully prepared to provide medical care in case additional casualties are found during the ongoing searches.”
The Iranian attack came hours after the United States bombed three key nuclear sites in Iran at Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan, joining an Israeli air campaign against Iran’s nuclear and military infrastructure that began on June 13, when Israel launched Operation Rising Lion, the Times of Israel reported. According to the report, Iran has responded to the Israeli attacks on its nuclear and ballistic missile infrastructure with near-daily barrages of missiles at Israeli cities, killing 24 people and wounding thousands, according to health officials and hospitals.
In fact, the Iranians were even documented utilizing cluster bombs in order to target Soroka Hospital and a Beersheba kindergarten. Other Iranian targets included a cancer research center at the Weizman Institute of Science, two historic mosques in Haifa, the Bursa Financial District in Ramat Gan, alongside many homes. It should be noted that while Israel targets the IRGC and other military sites in Iran, the Islamic Republic has mainly targeted civilian targets in the Jewish state.
