A female soldier was lightly wounded on Monday evening in a car-ramming attack on Highway 35, near the Judea Junction in the Hebron area, Arutz Sheva reported. According to the report, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said, “Following the report that was received regarding a ramming attack at Judea Junction, a terrorist accelerated in his vehicle toward IDF soldiers, and injured a female IDF soldier. The soldier was evacuated to the hospital to receive medical treatment, and her family has been notified.”
According to the Times of Israel, the army then set up roadblocks in the area and conducted extensive searches. Eventually the terrorist was spotted in Hebron in the car used in the attack, the Times of Israel reported. During the arrest attempt, the suspect “tried to escape while endangering the fighters, the forces reacted with gunfire, and he was eliminated,” according to the army.
Shortly afterwards, the Times of Israel reported that two soldiers were lightly injured Tuesday morning in a stabbing attack near Ateret, the Israel Defense Forces said. According to the report, the terrorist was eliminated.
According to the Times of Israel, Tuesday’s stabbing occurred after troops were dispatched to question a suspicious individual seen near Ateret, north of Ramallah. Soldiers stopped the man and began inspecting him when he pulled out a knife and stabbed two of them before being shot and killed, the army said.
Earlier this week, another terror attack occurred near the Samaria Crossing checkpoint on Highway 5, when a terrorist hurled an iron rod at a vehicle belonging to a central-Israel resident – the rod became embedded in the windshield, Arutz Sheva reported. The driver, who suffered from anxiety, was treated by Magen David Adom and released home, Arutz Sheva added. Merav, who was in the damaged vehicle and sitting beside the driver, recounted: “We left Kedumim toward Petah Tikva. Three minutes before the Shomron Crossing, we heard a boom. At that moment I didn’t understand what was happening. We reached the checkpoint and forces arrived there.”
According to Arutz Sheva, the IDF launched searches for the perpetrator, and soldiers from the Ephraim Brigade raided the village of Mas-ha, removed cameras, and collected evidence. The object thrown at the vehicle was taken to the police for forensic testing, Arutz Sheva added. According to the report, the Shin Bet is also involved in the investigation. A security source said: “The police, through intelligence and investigative efforts in cooperation with the Shin Bet, will use every tool available – including the forensic laboratories – to bring about the arrest of those responsible for the terror attack.”
Violence in Judea and Samaria has surged since the October 7th massacre. According to the Palestinian Authority, over 1,000 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces since then. The IDF has said that most of those killed were gunmen, rioters clashing with troops or terrorists carrying out attacks, the Times of Israel reported.
During the same period, 63 civilians and Israeli security personnel have been killed in terror attacks in Israel and Judea and Samaria, the Times of Israel added. Another eight members of the security forces were killed in clashes during raids in Palestinian cities in Judea and Samaria, the Times of Israel noted.
