At least 15 Israelis were wounded, as bomb sirens blared across Northern and Central Israel, Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria and the Arava.

At least 15 Israelis were wounded across Israel following another barrage of ballistic missiles fired from Iran around 9pm on Sunday night, the Jerusalem Post reported. Sirens sounded on Sunday night across Northern and Central Israel, Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria, and the Arava after the IDF identified missiles that were launched from Iran, Arutz Sheva reported.
There were multiple reports of fallen projectiles in both Northern and Southern Israel, Arutz Sheva added. In the Lachish area, four people were lightly injured, and missile fragments hit a building and set a brush fire, Arutz Sheva stressed. According to the report, a projectile reportedly fell in the Haifa area, where MDA crews tended to seven individuals: a woman who was moderately injured, three who were lightly injured, and three who suffered shock.
According to the Jerusalem Post, Magen David Adom evacuated 10 victims, including a 72-year-old woman in moderate condition with signs of smoke inhalation, 6 lightly injured individuals, and 4 anxiety victims to various hospitals in Israel. Walla reported that 28 missiles were sent to Israel.
The Jerusalem Post reported that a fire also broke out in the northern Israeli city of Haifa following Iranian missile strikes on Sunday evening. According to the report, ZAKA reported a direct hit on a residential building in Northern Israel. “So far, we have treated around 15 people with minor injuries, some of whom are infants who inhaled smoke,” United Hatzalah Carmel Region manager Naftali Rothenberg told the Jerusalem Post from the scene of a direct hit in Haifa. According to the report, United Hatzalah also reported that several homes in the area had sustained damage.
This is the second barrage of missiles launched by Iran at Israel since noon. At around 4pm on Sunday evening, Iran also sent missiles towards Israel. Following the first barrage, the IDF announced that most of the missiles were intercepted and that no reports of fallen projectiles were received, Arutz Sheva reported.
This latest barrage comes a day after seven Israelis including two children were killed and nearly two hundred were injured when a missile struck a Bat Yam apartment building. On Sunday evening the day after the attack, 44-year-old Bat Yam resident Efrat Saranga was named as one of seven victims in the strike, the Times of Israel reported. According to the report, she leaves behind her husband, Ofir, and two younger brothers. The Times of Israel noted that the names of the remaining six victims have yet to be cleared for publication.
During the same barrage of Iranian missile fire, significant damage was also reported after a missile struck a home in Rehovot. Deborah Fait, 84, told the Times of Israel that she was lucky to be alive, after she decided to go to sleep instead of remain in the bomb shelter. She also added that moving to sleep in her bedroom is what saved her life: “If I had remained on the couch, I would have died.”
Not far from where Fait lives, the Weizmann Institute of Science said Sunday that some buildings on its campus had suffered damage after being hit by a missile, the Times of Israel reported. The Times of Israel also reported that the missile barrages fired from Iran overnight caused damage to a major oil refinery in Haifa. The Bazan oil refinery, long a target of Israel’s enemies, suffered damage to pipelines and transmission lines running between facilities at the large Haifa complex, the Times of Israel noted.
The Times of Israel reported that at least 42 people elsewhere in Rehovot were wounded when a missile hit a residential area, destroying at least one apartment building, according to the Magen David Adom rescue service. According to the report, one man was alive for hours under the rubble at the site of the strike until rescuers managed to extract him. First responders said that he was in good condition.
