A British doctor blamed the Mossad for 9/11, claimed that Israel allowed October 7 to happen in order to “justify genocide” and made other anti-Semitic remarks.

A senior NHS doctor in Great Britain has sparked outrage after making racist and anti-Semitic comments online, including a slur against British Foreign Secretary David Lammy, Arutz Sheva reported. According to the report, Aqeel Jamil, a consultant gastroenterologist at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth in Great Britain, described the British Foreign Secretary as a “monkey bought by Zionists” in a social media post. He also accused Israel of facilitating Hamas’s October 7 terror attack, which resulted in the massacre of 1,200 Jews.
Writing on X, the Daily Mail reported that Dr. Jamil declared ‘there is no such thing as Israel’. According to the report, he posted on Facebook a doctored image of the star of David, its six points labelled with the words: Lie, Kill, Cheat, Rape, Steal and Cry.
According to the Daily Mail, Dr Jamil also tweeted: ‘Israelis are all fascists. Born into a horrific Zionist ideology and nurtured from childhood to be racist and hate.’ Arutz Sheva reported that Dr. Jamil also alleged that Israel allowed the October 7 attacks to justify “genocide” and mocked Israelis evacuating from Hezbollah rocket fire, likening them to “frightened dogs.”
‘Isis is Mossad and CIA,’ he wrote. ‘They are bought out to disrupt countries. 9/11 was Mossad.’ He also claimed that British Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner was being paid by ‘friends of Israel’.
CBN reported that the Chief Medical Officer for Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust, Dr John Knighton, said: “We will be fully investigating the concerns that have been raised and will take all the necessary and appropriate actions.”
According to the report, the General Medical Council last night said it was looking into the doctor’s remarks “as a matter of urgency”. Commenting on the doctor’s words, British Health Secretary Wes Streeting said: “I am utterly appalled by these vile racist posts.”
The Daily Mail recently reported a surge in anti-Semitic incidents among NHS staff, with 402 complaints filed with the General Medical Council (GMC) between October 7 and November 19, 2023. Labor Against Anti-Semitism co-director Alex Hearn described such rhetoric among medical professionals as “widespread and deeply troubling.” UK trade envoy to Israel, Lord Austin, told Arutz Sheva: “Decent people will want to hear that this doctor has been sacked.”
According to the Guardian, antisemitic incidents reached the highest level recorded, the monitoring and community safety organization the Community Security Trust (CST) said. In the 12 months after the October 7 massacre, there were 5,583 incidents in the UK – including abusive behavior, threats, assaults, damage and desecration – a 204% year-on-year increase, the report noted.
According to the report, the CST said it was hopeful the Israel-Hamas ceasefire would improve matters, but added “it is too early for us to assume that antisemitism, or the broader threats facing our community, will diminish.” The Guardian added that Marc Levy, the CEO of the Jewish Representative Council of Greater Manchester, said many in his community were so “rattled” they “don’t see a future in the UK”.
