Prominent Palestinian activist Ahed Tamimi, who is famous for her confrontations with Israeli soldiers in Judea and Samaria starting from around age 11, and whose father is a cousin of Ahlem Tamimi, who assisted in implementing the Sbarro Pizzeria suicide bombing in 2001, which resulted in the massacre of 16 people, recently spoke on the Enlightenment podcast that was translated into English by MEMRI, which highlighted an extremist view of the world.

In this podcast, she proclaimed: “My definition of Judaism, ever since I was a child, has been that it is the same as Zionism. There is not difference between the two. To this day, I keep saying that I do not need to defend Judaism. If a Jew does not want his religion to be defined this way, he can join me in the struggle against Zionism.”

According to Tamimi, “”I was raised [to believe] that Judaism means occupation, and today, tomorrow, and a million years from now, I will continue to say that Judaism [should] be presented to the children of Palestine – children of my age and younger – as occupation, and that we are fighting the Jews, not Zionism.”

Tamimi had harsh words for the West: “”What’s the point of all the media talk about the Western view of my suffering? Sorry, but I should be giving my opinion about the world, not the other way around. Western media – or any media in the world – should not come and present its views. No! The whole world needs to shut up, when a Palestinian is talking. We are superior to the entire world, because we are the only ones in the world fighting injustice, at the expense of our lives, and the expense of our humanity.”

According to Tamimi, “”The Westerners patronize us by saying: ‘We give aid to the Palestinians.’ You will give aid to the Palestinians whether you like it or not. I am paying the price for your mistakes and the mistakes of your country, and your political and economic systems on my own land. We suffer genocide, because of your countries. So nobody should patronize me and say that he gives aid to the Palestinians. You should give aid to the Palestinians, and they will not thank you.”

Tamimi has an apocalyptic view of the world: “I have reached a point where I wish for a World War III. Whoever dies dies, and whoever lives lives, the important thing is that we will be over with this. I have reached this point. Let the whole world be destroyed, I don’t care. Let them drop nuclear bombs, and destroy the whole world, so it won’t be just the Palestinians.”

Anti-Israel activists have hailed Ahed Tamimi, whose videos of her as a Swedish looking blond-hair girl slapping Israeli soldiers went viral, as a symbol of the Palestinian resistance. In 2022, she published a memoir titled “They Called Me A Lioness.”   In March 2018, Tamimi was convicted on four counts of assaulting an IDF officer and soldier, incitement, and interference with IDF forces, the Jerusalem Post reported. According to the report, she was sentenced to eight months in prison and eight months of probation. Later on in 2023, she was imprisoned for inciting terrorism and violence on her Instagram page. She was released in exchange for Israeli hostages that were being held by Hamas in the November 2023 prisoner swap.

The prominent Zionist organization Stand With Us stated in a recent Instagram post, “She is no hero. Ahed Tamimi is an anti-Israel activist with a notorious history, who continues to use her platform to incite hate. Listen to her speak for herself.” According to MEMRI, “In an October 2, 2018 interview with the Tunisian Musaique FM radio channel, Palestinian activist Ahed Tamimi said that people should slap Israeli soldiers “regardless of whether they did anything or not” and that it should become a “regular thing.” She pledged “to continue on the path of the martyrs” and “to continue to make sacrifices, even sacrificing my life, for the sake of liberating Palestine.” A day later, speaking on the Tunisian Nessma TV channel, she rejected the two-state solution, saying: “We, as a generation, will fight for the liberation of Palestine in its entirety.””
